A downloadable game for Android
DanceXR is a character model viewer and motion player. It supports PMX(MMD) & XNALara/XPS models and VMD motion format. Unlike other MMD players DanceXR allows almost any motion to play on any model without any manual tweaking or bone adjustments.
It doesn't matter whether the model has IK bones or is it in T pose or A pose, the model & motion are adapted automatically on the fly by our unique motion system to ensure the maximum compatibility.
There are also tons of built-in features to make the characters more life-like. You can see them breathing, blinking eyes naturally and even making eye contact with you. Plus there are procedural motions for you to use and more features added every month with each updates.
DanceXR is currently available on PC, Mac, Oculus Quest and Android. This Android Pro version contains all the features the PC version has (except for HD graphics that requires higher end GPU to render).

Before I buy, is the only way to chat with the AI feature, via voice? Or can I type as well?
Yes you can type
On the 2024.9 update the auto dance 2 is not working right. Its way toned down to the piint where its almost not moving at all, even on the highest extent setting.
Update: auto dance 2 is still not working right on both 2024.10 and 2024.11
Update 2: thank you for fixing it in version 2024.12

The best option is to use the screen record feature of your phone. Unity can't record videos. What we are doing in the Creator edition is to render sequence of images and then you'll have to convert them into video in a video editing software. That is only practical on a PC so we don't have a plan to port this feature to Android.

ARCore does not support Vulkan, which is required for particles effects, so it is using OpenGL since 2024.2. We will switch back to vulkan and enable particles when a supported ARCore version is made available from Unity.
AR function can be integrated into the associated third APP,associated installation, associated startup. Some particle effect is in the form of a two-dimensional plane without collision.
Due to the new android update, i no longer have access to the content manager folder in the android data folders to add models.
Looks like it's right on time. 2024.3 allows moving content folder to the root external storage. Install the update and follow the prompt in the app. You'll need to grant permission for DanceXR to access the storage files.

There is an error in the ground reflection effect in the model material. After turning off the sky, there is no reflection and the glass effect cannot be produced.Intensity of reflection have bug.

I don't quite understand what you mean by hair and cloth not coordinated. Can you post a video to demonstrate?

Thanks for the update. The Android customization system in Chinese Mainland is becoming more and more closed, so the data path cannot be opened, and the archive cannot be put into the newly installed application. Maybe it would be better to add "scene" and "content" paths to the content manager. You can find a way slowly.
2D exported images only support vertical screens. We hope that the next version can be improved.

No need for rude words. It is working fine. Just make sure you are running version 2024.1, and you have enterred the key correctly. Remember it is case sensitive and be careful with characters like l and 1.
I updated but still have problems with api key
Hello Happy News Years, I created my OpenAi account and I correctly copied the created key but as soon as I import the key into the OpenAi configuration, it still says service ai not configure ??
Please use the 1.5.1 version. There was an API change from OpenAI that caused old versions to not work.

Great app!! I can tell a ton of work has been put in and I really appreciate the new freefly camera on android.
One question though, how do you actually enter vr mode? I see all these options for setting up hand control but I cannot find an option to actually switch to VR.
VR is available in PC & Quest / Pico versions. You can't do that on Android I'm afraid.
I downloaded the demo to try it, but it says i have to "verify my purchase" (I am new to itch.io so I don't really know what to do) is this normal?
You don't need to activate it if you are just trying the demo. You will not be able to access advanced features but the basic functionality should work without activation.

Instead of overall control for collider sizes, we will add adjustments for individual parts in the future.
The new version of XPS physics cannot be used for models of double layered clothing, such as between clothing and front and back straps, or between underwear and outerwear.
The color saturation of actors in version 1.5.031 is too low.The spatial reflection accuracy of actors is too low.
Im having an issue in both of the new 1.5 versions where the thumbs on all of my models is not in the position its supposed to be. ex : the thumb will be on the back of the hand or on the complete other side of where its supposed to be. It doesnt happen on the built in model, but I've never had it happen to any of my models in the app's older builds and they don't do it in pmx editor. Just wanted to let you guys know so you can fix it .

It seems to be all of my models. I did a bit more testing and it only seems to be the hand gestures in the motion override section. The only gesture in the motion override section that is not affected seems to be the "hold" gesture.
About a dozen short skirt PMX models and hundreds of long skirt models still experience mismatched sizes of capsule colliders with legs passing through the skirt. This collider allows users to fine tune around your new value, rather than fixing it to a certain value because the actions and models are different, and the collision effect is also different. Red Devil 9 game phones will start selling on November 20th.If the physics does not change, I will not consider purchasing Snapdragon 8gen3 phones because doing this is meaningless.😒

After the update, I noticed a black shading line like an ambient occlusion which appears and also I don't have the AI services config?? And I don't see the snapshot in my Android folder??
Otherwise apart from that app no longer crashes that's a positive thing by adding some features and continue like that 🤗👍
For the AI service, you need to supply your own OpenAI API key or enter the URL of a working text gen service. Have a read here: https://vrstormlab.com/dancexr/ai_chat#ai-services
Not sure what's the deal with the black areas though, are you able to get rid of it by turning off AO?

Excellent work, cartoon contour lines can be achieved through clothing effects or model tracing.

Bone mapper will be fixed in 1.4.2. Rain effect is currently not supported on android, but it will come back soon.
the soft body physics are completely broken in the android and quest version
It seems to be working fine in our tests. Depends on the rigging of the model, some might not be suitable for this feature. Most DOA models should work fine. You can send us the model for further look if possible. BTW Quest version is not released yet.
